They can be released by a single winter sport participant in some cases. Adjacent to ridgelines avalanches can be triggered in deep layers of the snowpack and reach medium size in some cases. Apart from the danger of being buried, restraint should be exercised in view of the danger of avalanches sweeping people along and giving rise to falls. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface. The fresh snow and wind slabs are lying on the unfavourable surface of an old snowpack in particular on shady slopes. Faceted weak layers exist in the snowpack in particular here. The snowpack will be subject to considerable local variations.Fresh wind slabs are to be evaluated with care and prudence. Decrease in danger of dry avalanches.dangerRatingMapSimplified danger rating map of the regionhttps://avalanche.report/albina_files_local/2020-01-21/2020-01-20_16-00-00/13551718-7cf6-4c81-8fda-9f1c9768c708.jpgwebsiteLink to region on the websitehttps://avalanche.report/bulletin/2020-01-21?region=13551718-7cf6-4c81-8fda-9f1c9768c7082020-01-20T16:00:00Z2020-01-20T23:00:00Z2020-01-21T23:00:00ZLatemarSouthern AdamelloPrimiero - Pale di S. The sometimes strong wind has transported the fresh snow. The wind slabs are mostly small but can be released easily. These are to be found in particular above approximately 1800 m. Even single skiers can release avalanches in some places, including medium-sized ones. The avalanche prone locations are to be found especially in the vicinity of peaks, and adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls. The strong wind has transported the fresh snow and, in some cases, old snow as well. Over a wide area easily released wind slabs formed. The fresh snow and wind slabs of the last few days are lying on the unfavourable surface of an old snowpack in particular on shady slopes. Faceted weak layers exist in the snowpack in particular on shady slopes. The avalanche danger will persist.dangerRatingMapSimplified danger rating map of the regionhttps://avalanche.report/albina_files_local/2020-01-21/2020-01-20_16-00-00/3c1ce872-d003-4078-9dc5-5a61561ee585.jpgwebsiteLink to region on the websitehttps://avalanche.report/bulletin/2020-01-21?region=3c1ce872-d003-4078-9dc5-5a61561ee5852020-01-20T16:00:00Z2020-01-20T23:00:00Z2020-01-21T23:00:00ZKarwendel MountainsBrandenberg AlpsWestern Kitzbühel AlpsWilder Kaiser Mountains - Waidring AlpsEastern Kitzbühel AlpsWestern Lechtal AlpsCentral Lechtal AlpsGrieskogel MountainsAllgäu AlpsEastern Lechtal Alps - Ammergau AlpsMieming Mountainsmoderatetreelinemoderate212low11lowtreelinelow221low11wind_drifted_snowNNEENWWtreelinedecreasing2020-01-21T23:00:00Z2020-01-22T23:00:00ZWind slabs at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions. The clearly visible wind slabs of the last few days must be evaluated with care and prudence in particular on west to north to east facing aspects above the tree line.
