Caution is to be exercised in particular on sunny slopes below approximately 2600 m, as well as on steep east and west facing slopes below approximately 2400 m. Individual gliding avalanches can also be released in the night or in the morning. Wet avalanches can release the wet snowpack and reach large size. Exposed parts of transportation routes are endangered in isolated cases. Wet avalanches can to an increasing extent be released by a single winter sport participant. Between approximately 2000 and 2400 m these avalanche prone locations are more prevalent. Backcountry tours should be concluded timely.
Avalanches can be released in deeper layers, mostly by large additional loads in isolated cases, especially in areas where the snow cover is rather shallow. In addition the older wind slabs are prone to triggering in isolated cases still. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on very steep shady slopes above approximately 2400 m and adjacent to ridgelines. Such avalanche prone locations are very rare.Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be good over a wide area. The snowpack is moist and its surface has a melt-freeze crust that is strong in many cases. The spring-like weather conditions will give rise to increasing and thorough wetting of the snowpack, in particular on steep sunny slopes below approximately 2600 m, as well as on shady slopes below approximately 1800 m. The surface of the snowpack will soften earlier than the day before, in particular on east and west facing slopes especially below approximately 2400 m.
Isolated avalanche prone weak layers exist in the centre of the snowpack on west, north and east facing slopes. As a consequence of mild temperatures and solar radiation the snow drift accumulations stabilised.Slight decrease in danger of wet avalanches as the temperature drops.dangerRatingMapSimplified danger rating map of the regionhttps://avalanche.report/albina_files/2021-02-25/2021-02-24_16-00-00/c47cdb8d-c816-4162-be93-b123d54bdaac_PM.jpgwebsiteLink to region on the websitehttps://avalanche.report/bulletin/2021-02-25?region=c47cdb8d-c816-4162-be93-b123d54bdaac2021-02-24T16:00:00Z2021-02-25T11:00:00Z2021-02-25T23:00:00ZSexten DolomitesLatemarSouthern AdamelloAdamello - PresanellaNorthern Brenta - PellerBondone and StivoFolgaria - LaveroneSouthern BrentaSouthern LagoraiNorthern LagoraiAllgäu AlpsEastern Lechtal Alps - Ammergau AlpsMieming MountainsKarwendel MountainsBrandenberg AlpsWilder Kaiser Mountains - Waidring AlpsWestern Lechtal AlpsCentral Lechtal AlpsGrieskogel MountainsVal Müstair AlpsWestern Verwall MountainsLangtaufersEastern Verwall MountainsSchnals RidgeSilvrettaSouthern Stubai AlpsSamnaun MountainsSouthern Zillertal Alps and High TauernNorthern Oetz and Stubai AlpsSaldurn-Mastaun RidgeWestern Tuxer AlpsTexel MountainsEastern Tuxer AlpsSarntal AlpsWestern Kitzbühel AlpsWestern Pfunderer MountainsEastern Kitzbühel AlpsGlockturm RangeMaddalenePine' - Mocheni ValleyEastern Pfunderer MountainsDurreck RangeWeißkugel RangeWestern Rieserferner MountainsGurgler RangeWestern Deferegger AlpsCentral Stubai AlpsOrtler RangeNorthern Zillertal AlpsUlten ValleyVenediger RangeEastern Nonsberger AlpsEastern Rieserferner MountainsNorthern Dolomites of FiemmeGlockner RangeGröden DolomitesPrimiero - Pale di S.
