Fresh wind slabs require caution. Gliding avalanches are possible in isolated cases.

As a consequence of new snow and a sometimes strong wind from westerly directions, small wind slabs formed in the last few days in particular in gullies and bowls and behind abrupt changes in the terrain. Caution is to be exercised in particular on steep shady slopes in areas close to the tree line and above the tree line. The fresh wind slabs can be released easily.

Up to 10 cm of snow has fallen. The wind will be moderate.
The tendency for Sunday 5 January 2025 indicates a steady avalanche danger.
