Avalanche report for Friday 7 February 2025.

On shady slopes a moderate avalanche danger will be encountered in some localities.

all day it applies above the treeline moderate avalanche danger, so danger level two, below low avalanche danger, so danger level one.

all day, above the treeline, we have a persistent weak layer problem. Especially in the aspects North-West to North to North-East.

Avalanches can in isolated cases be released by large loads, caution is to be exercised in particular in the regions with a lot of snow, and at transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack, when entering gullies and bowls for example. The avalanche prone locations for dry avalanches are to be found in particular on steep northwest, north and northeast facing slopes above the tree line. Mostly avalanches are small.

And now the snowpack:

The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on steep northwest to north to northeast facing slopes above approximately 1900 m. As a consequence of mild temperatures and solar radiation a crust formed on the surface during the last few days.

The tendency for Saturday 8 February 2025 indicates a steady avalanche danger.

Have a nice day and don't forget to be careful!
