all day, above the treeline, we have a wind slab problem. Especially in the aspects North-West to North to East.

The avalanches can be released by people. Avalanche prone locations for dry avalanches are to be found in particular on steep northwest, north and east facing slopes at high altitude, caution is to be exercised in particular in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain. Mostly avalanches are small.

And now the snowpack:

Some snow has fallen. Faceted weak layers exist in the bottom section of the snowpack especially on shady slopes. The snowpack will be moist at low and intermediate altitudes. At elevated altitudes snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind.

The tendency for Sunday 16 February 2025 indicates a steady avalanche danger.
