Update of the avalanche report for Saturday 8 March 2025.

A generally favourable avalanche situation will prevail. Slight increase in danger of moist and wet avalanches as a consequence of warming.

all day it applies low avalanche danger, so danger level one.

all day, below 2800 meter, we have a wet snow problem. Especially in the aspects South-East to South to South-West.

On steep grassy slopes small to medium-sized gliding avalanches are possible. This applies in particular in the west and below approximately 2800 m. As a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation only isolated wet loose snow avalanches are possible. This applies on extremely steep sunny slopes below approximately 2800 m.

And now the snowpack:

Since Sunday the weather has been mild. Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be good. The surface of the snowpack has frozen to form a strong crust and will soften during the day, especially on extremely steep sunny slopes. Only a little snow is now lying on south facing slopes.

We have the following danger patterns: dp.10: springtime scenario.

The tendency for Sunday 9 March 2025 indicates a steady avalanche danger.

Have a nice day and don't forget to be careful!
