Avalanche report for Sunday 9 March 2025.

A generally favourable avalanche situation will prevail. Slight increase in danger of moist and wet avalanches in the course of the day.

all day it applies low avalanche danger, so danger level one.

all day, below 2800 meter, we have a wet snow problem. Especially in the aspects East to South to West.

On steep grassy slopes small to medium-sized gliding avalanches are possible. This applies in particular in the west and below approximately 2800 m. As a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation individual wet loose snow avalanches are possible. This applies on extremely steep sunny slopes below approximately 2800 m, this applies in case of a single winter sport participant.

And now the snowpack:

The weather will be mild. Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be quite good. The surface of the snowpack will soften during the day, especially on very steep sunny slopes. Only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year.

The tendency for Monday 10 March 2025 indicates a steady avalanche danger.
