Avalanche report for Saturday 19 April 2025.

Wet snow represents the main danger.

all day it applies above 2000 meter moderate avalanche danger, so danger level two, below low avalanche danger, so danger level one.

all day, above 2000 meter, we have a wet snow problem. Especially in the aspects West to North to East.

As the penetration by moisture increases individual wet avalanches are possible, but they will be mostly small. In particular in the Vallarsa and adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls medium-sized and, in isolated cases, large wet loose snow avalanches are possible in particular above approximately 1800 m.

And now the snowpack:

A lot of rain has fallen. The rain gave rise to increasing moistening of the snowpack. The snowpack will be wet all the way through over a wide area. Below approximately 1800 m a little snow is lying.

The tendency for Sunday 20 April 2025 indicates a steady avalanche danger.
