Avalanche report for Thursday 24 April 2025.

Wet snow represents the main danger.

all day it applies above 2600 meter low avalanche danger, so danger level one, below moderate avalanche danger, so danger level two.

all day, below 2600 meter, we have a wet snow problem. Especially in the aspects West to North to East.

Wet avalanches can in some places be released by a single winter sport participant. Wherever a lot of rain falls the danger will increase more quickly. The avalanche prone locations are to be found especially on very steep west, north and east facing slopes below approximately 2600 m. Avalanches can release the saturated snowpack and reach medium size. Individual gliding avalanches can also occur, caution is to be exercised in particular on very steep grassy slopes in the regions with a lot of snow.

And now the snowpack:

Over a wide area an overcast night. The old snowpack is wet. Up to intermediate altitudes rain will fall. Above approximately 2200 m snow will fall. The wind will be light over a wide area. On steep sunny slopes as well as at low and intermediate altitudes hardly any snow is lying.

We have the following danger patterns: dp.3: rain.

The tendency for Friday 25 April 2025 indicates a steady avalanche danger.

Have a nice day and don't forget to be careful!
