Avalanche forecast for Wednesday 3 December 2025.

Thus far only a little snow is lying. Wind slabs and gliding snow require caution.

all day it applies low avalanche danger, so danger level one.

all day, above 2200 meter, we have a wind slab problem. Especially in the aspects West to North to East.

The fresh wind slabs can be released in isolated cases on very steep west, north and east facing slopes at elevated altitudes. The avalanche prone locations are to be found especially adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas. The small wind slabs are to be avoided in particular in terrain where there is a danger of falling. On steep grassy slopes individual gliding avalanches are possible, but they will be mostly small.

And now the snowpack:

As a consequence of a moderate southerly foehn wind, mostly shallow wind slabs formed since Monday especially in the vicinity of peaks. The clearly visible wind slabs are lying on soft layers on west, north and east facing slopes. In some places wind slabs are lying on surface hoar.

We have the following danger patterns: dp.6: cold, loose snow and wind, dp.2: gliding snow.

The tendency for Thursday 4 December 2025 indicates a steady avalanche danger.

Have a nice day and don't forget to be careful!
