Avalanche forecast for Thursday 4 December 2025.

Thus far only a little snow is lying. Wind slabs and gliding snow require caution.

all day it applies low avalanche danger, so danger level one.

The fresh wind slabs can be released in isolated cases on very steep shady slopes at elevated altitudes. The avalanche prone locations are to be found adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. The small wind slabs are to be avoided in particular in terrain where there is a danger of falling. On steep grassy slopes individual gliding avalanches are possible, but they will be mostly small.

And now the snowpack:

The snowpack is largely stable. As a consequence of a moderate southerly foehn wind, mostly shallow wind slabs formed since Monday especially adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas. The clearly visible wind slabs are lying on soft layers on shady slopes. They are in individual cases still prone to triggering. Steep sunny slopes: As a consequence of solar radiation a crust formed on the surface during the last few days.

We have the following danger patterns: dp.6: cold, loose snow and wind, dp.2: gliding snow.

The tendency for Friday 5 December 2025 indicates a steady avalanche danger.

Have a nice day and don't forget to be careful!
