Update of the avalanche forecast for Friday 5 December 2025.

Thus far only a little snow is lying. Wind slabs and gliding snow require caution.

all day it applies low avalanche danger, so danger level one.

The fresh and older wind slabs can be released in isolated cases on very steep shady slopes at elevated altitudes. The avalanche prone locations are to be found adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. The small wind slabs are to be avoided in particular in terrain where there is a danger of falling. On steep grassy slopes individual gliding avalanches are possible, but they will be mostly small.

And now the snowpack:

The snowpack is largely stable. Some snow will fall until the afternoon. As a consequence of a light to moderate wind, small wind slabs will form in isolated cases. Shady slopes: The older wind slabs of the last few days have bonded quite well with the old snowpack. They are now only very rarely prone to triggering. Steep sunny slopes: As a consequence of solar radiation a crust formed on the surface.

We have the following danger patterns: dp.6: cold, loose snow and wind, dp.2: gliding snow.

The tendency for Saturday 6 December 2025 indicates a steady avalanche danger.

Have a nice day and don't forget to be careful!
