Avalanche forecast for Sunday 7 December 2025.

Wind slabs and gliding snow require caution. Thus far only a little snow is lying.

all day it applies low avalanche danger, so danger level one.

The fresh and older wind slabs can be released in isolated cases on very steep shady slopes at elevated altitudes. The avalanche prone locations are to be found adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. The small wind slabs are to be avoided in particular in terrain where there is a danger of falling. Afternoon: Slight increase in danger of gliding avalanches and snow slides as the snowfall level rises.

And now the snowpack:

Up to 2200 m rain will fall in the afternoon in some regions. As a consequence of a moderate wind from westerly directions, mostly small wind slabs will form at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions. The wind slabs are lying on soft layers on shady slopes at elevated altitudes. They are lying on surface hoar in some places.

We have the following danger patterns: dp.6: cold, loose snow and wind, dp.2: gliding snow.

The tendency for Monday 8 December 2025 indicates an increasing avalanche danger.

Have a nice day and don't forget to be careful!
