Avalanche forecast for Saturday 13 December 2025.

Individual avalanche prone locations are to be found on steep shady slopes at elevated altitudes.

all day it applies low avalanche danger, so danger level one.

Faceted weak layers exist in the bottom section of the snowpack on shady slopes. The wind slabs are clearly recognisable. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain above approximately 2400 m. Avalanches can in some places be released on very steep shady slopes. Mostly the avalanches are small. Apart from the danger of being buried, restraint should be exercised as well in view of the danger of avalanches sweeping people along and giving rise to falls.

And now the snowpack:

Less snow than usual is lying in all altitude zones. The snowpack will be subject to considerable local variations. Faceted weak layers exist in the bottom section of the old snowpack in shady places that are protected from the wind. Steep sunny slopes: The solar radiation will give rise as the day progresses to increasing moistening of the snowpack.

The tendency for Sunday 14 December 2025 indicates a steady avalanche danger.

Have a nice day and don't forget to be careful!
