Wet snow requires caution.

all day it applies moderate avalanche danger, so danger level two.

all day, we have a wet snow problem. This in all aspects.

As a consequence of warming individual small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized wet avalanches are possible. In the event of rain this applies in particular. The runout zones are to be treated with caution.

And now the snowpack:

Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be reduced. The weather conditions will give rise to thorough wetting of the snowpack. Distinct weak layers exist in the old snowpack in particular on west, north and east facing slopes.

The tendency for Wednesday 25 February 2026 indicates a steady avalanche danger.
