Avalanche forecast for Saturday 14 March 2026.

Low avalanche danger will prevail.

all day it applies low avalanche danger, so danger level one.

all day, above 1900 meter, we have a persistent weak layer problem. Especially in the aspects North-West to North to North-East.

Individual avalanche prone locations for dry avalanches are to be found in particular on very steep shady slopes above approximately 1900 m. Avalanches are medium-sized. As the day progresses the likelihood of wet snow slides being released will increase a little below approximately 1900 m.

And now the snowpack:

Above approximately 1900 m: Weak layers exist in the bottom section of the snowpack on northeast, north and northwest facing slopes. Below approximately 1900 m and steep sunny slopes: The old snowpack will be moist. The surface of the snowpack will freeze very little and will already be soft in the early morning. The weather conditions will give rise to gradual and thorough wetting of the snowpack at low and intermediate altitudes.

We have the following danger patterns: dp.1: deep persistent weak layer.

The tendency for Sunday 15 March 2026 indicates a steady avalanche danger.

Have a nice day and don't forget to be careful!
