Avalanche forecast for Monday 16 March 2026.

Low avalanche danger will prevail.

all day it applies low avalanche danger, so danger level one.

all day, above 1900 meter, we have a persistent weak layer problem. Especially in the aspects North-West to North to North-East.

Individual avalanche prone locations for dry avalanches are to be found in particular on very steep shady slopes above approximately 1900 m. In very isolated cases avalanches are medium-sized. As the day progresses the likelihood of wet snow slides being released will increase below approximately 1900 m.

And now the snowpack:

Some snow has fallen in some regions. Some snow will fall from the afternoon in some regions. Above approximately 1900 m: Weak layers exist in the bottom section of the snowpack on northeast, north and northwest facing slopes. Below approximately 1900 m and steep sunny slopes: The old snowpack will be moist. The weather conditions will give rise to thorough wetting of the snowpack at low and intermediate altitudes.

We have the following danger patterns: dp.1: deep persistent weak layer.

The tendency for Tuesday 17 March 2026 indicates a steady avalanche danger.

Have a nice day and don't forget to be careful!
