Avalanche forecast for Saturday 21 March 2026.
Low avalanche danger will prevail.
all day it applies low avalanche danger, so danger level one.
all day, above 1900 meter, we have a persistent weak layer problem. Especially in the aspects North-West to North to North-East.
Dry avalanches can be released in near-ground layers, in particular by large additional loads. This applies especially on northwest, north and northeast facing slopes above approximately 1900 m in steep rocky terrain. The avalanche prone locations are rare but are barely recognisable. In very isolated cases avalanches are medium-sized.
And now the snowpack:
Some snow will fall. Weak layers exist in the bottom section of the snowpack on northeast, north and northwest facing slopes. This applies in particular above approximately 1900 m.
We have the following danger patterns: dp.1: deep persistent weak layer. The tendency for Sunday 22 March 2026 indicates a steady avalanche danger.
Have a nice day and don't forget to be careful!
