all day it applies above 1800 meter considerable avalanche danger, so danger level three, below low avalanche danger, so danger level one.
all day, above 1800 meter, we have a wind slab problem. This in all aspects.
Furthermore, all day, above 2200 meter, we have a persistent weak layer problem. Especially in the aspects West to North to East.
Wind slabs are prone to triggering in all aspects above approximately 1800 m. These can be released in near-surface layers.
And now the snowpack:
10 to 20 cm of snow fell in the last few days. The northwesterly wind has transported the fresh and old snow significantly. As a consequence of a gusty wind, avalanche prone wind slabs formed.
The tendency for Sunday 29 March 2026 indicates a steady avalanche danger.
