all day, above 1800 meter, we have a wind slab problem. This in all aspects. Furthermore, all day, above 1900 meter, we have a persistent weak layer problem. Especially in the aspects West to North to East.

The hard wind slabs can be released in isolated cases at elevated altitudes. Avalanche prone locations are to be found in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain. Mostly avalanches are small. Avalanches can additionally in very isolated cases be released in deeper layers, in particular by large additional loads. This applies on very steep west, north and east facing slopes above approximately 1900 m. In very isolated cases avalanches are medium-sized.

And now the snowpack:

In the last few days the wind was storm force over a wide area. The gusty wind has transported the fresh and old snow significantly. Hard wind slabs formed. The old snowpack will be weakly bonded, especially on west, north and east facing slopes above approximately 1900 m.

The tendency for Monday 30 March 2026 indicates a steady avalanche danger.
