Avalanche forecast for Sunday 12 April 2026.
Wet snow requires caution.
earlier in the day it applies low avalanche danger, so danger level one.
later in the day it applies low avalanche danger, so danger level one.
later in the day, we have a wet snow problem. This in all aspects.
As a consequence of warming during the day and the solar radiation, the likelihood of wet avalanches being released will increase a little. This applies in all aspects. Avalanches are rather small but can be released by a single winter sport participant. Avalanches can in very isolated cases release deeper layers of the snowpack and reach medium size.
And now the snowpack:
Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be reduced at times. The surface of the snowpack will freeze very little and will soften quickly. Sunshine and high temperatures gave rise to increasing and thorough wetting of the snowpack.
We have the following danger patterns: dp.10: springtime scenario, dp.1: deep persistent weak layer. The tendency for Monday 13 April 2026 indicates an increasing avalanche danger.
Have a nice day and don't forget to be careful!
