Avalanche forecast for Monday 13 April 2026.
Wet snow requires caution.
all day it applies low avalanche danger, so danger level one.
all day, we have a wet snow problem. This in all aspects.
As a consequence of warming during the day, the likelihood of wet avalanches being released will increase. This applies in all aspects. Avalanches are rather small but can be released by a single winter sport participant. Avalanches can in very isolated cases release deeper layers of the snowpack and reach medium size.
And now the snowpack:
Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be severely restricted at times. The surface of the snowpack will cool hardly at all during the overcast night and will already be soft in the early morning. The weather conditions gave rise to thorough wetting of the snowpack.
We have the following danger patterns: dp.3: rain, dp.1: deep persistent weak layer. The tendency for Tuesday 14 April 2026 indicates a steady avalanche danger.
Have a nice day and don't forget to be careful!
