Avalanche forecast for Tuesday 14 April 2026.

Wet snow represents the main danger.

all day it applies considerable avalanche danger, so danger level three.

all day, we have a wet snow problem. Especially in the aspects North-West to North to North-East.

As a consequence of the rain more frequent wet avalanches are to be expected. This applies in particular on very steep shady slopes at high altitude. Avalanches can release the saturated snowpack and reach medium size. The runout zones of avalanches are to be avoided.

And now the snowpack:

Up to 2500 m rain will fall. Northwest, north and northeast facing slopes: The surface of the snowpack will cool hardly at all during the overcast night and will already be soft in the early morning. The rain will give rise to extreme and thorough wetting of the snowpack. West and east facing slopes: The snowpack will be wet all the way through.

We have the following danger patterns: dp.3: rain, dp.1: deep persistent weak layer.

The tendency for Wednesday 15 April 2026 indicates a decreasing avalanche danger.

Have a nice day and don't forget to be careful!
