later in the day, we have a wet snow problem. Especially in the aspects North-West to North to North-East.
In the late morning the likelihood of wet avalanches being released will increase. Wet avalanches can in isolated cases be released by a single winter sport participant. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on very steep northwest, north and northeast facing slopes at elevated altitudes. Avalanches can in very isolated cases release the saturated snowpack and reach medium size.
And now the snowpack:
The snowpack is wet all the way through and its surface has a melt-freeze crust. The surface of the snowpack will soften quickly. In particular on steep sunny slopes as well as below approximately 1800 m only a little snow is now lying.
