Update of the avalanche forecast for Tuesday 21 April 2026.

Wet snow requires caution.

all day it applies low avalanche danger, so danger level one.

all day, we have a wet snow problem. Especially in the aspects North-West to North to North-East.

As a consequence of warming during the day, the likelihood of wet avalanches being released will increase a little. Only isolated wet avalanches are possible. This applies in particular on extremely steep shady slopes. Mostly avalanches are small.

And now the snowpack:

The snowpack will be wet all the way through over a wide area. The surface of the snowpack will only just freeze and will soften quickly. On steep sunny slopes as well as below approximately 1800 m hardly any snow is lying.

The tendency for Wednesday 22 April 2026 indicates a steady avalanche danger.
