Update of the avalanche forecast for Wednesday 29 April 2026.

Individual avalanche prone locations for wet avalanches are to be found in particular on extremely steep shady slopes.

all day it applies low avalanche danger, so danger level one.

all day, we have a wet snow problem. Especially in the aspects North-West to North to North-East.

As a consequence of the rain individual mostly small wet avalanches are possible. This applies in particular in case of releases originating from extremely steep starting zones that still retain some snow. The avalanche prone locations are to be found on extremely steep shady slopes at high altitude.

And now the snowpack:

Up to high altitudes rain will fall in some localities. This applies in particular during the night. The snowpack will be wet all the way through over a wide area. On steep sunny slopes as well as below approximately 1800 m hardly any snow is lying.

The tendency for Thursday 30 April 2026 indicates a steady avalanche danger.
