Low avalanche danger will prevail.

all day, above 2000 meter, we have a wet snow problem. This in all aspects.

The danger of moist and wet avalanches will already exist in the early morning. From origins in starting zones where no previous releases have taken place individual wet avalanches are possible. Mostly they are rather small. Caution is to be exercised on extremely steep shady slopes.

And now the snowpack:

Some rain will fall in some regions. Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be barely evident over a wide area. The surface of the snowpack is not frozen and will soften quickly.

The tendency for Thursday 30 April 2026 indicates a steady avalanche danger.
