Avalanche forecast for Wednesday 25 February 2026.

Wet snow requires caution.

all day it applies moderate avalanche danger, so danger level two.

all day, we have a wet snow problem. This in all aspects.

As a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation small to medium-sized wet avalanches are to be expected. This applies especially on very steep sunny slopes. The runout zones are to be treated with caution.

And now the snowpack:

Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be good at times. The weather conditions will give rise to thorough wetting of the snowpack. Distinct weak layers exist in the old snowpack in particular on northwest, north and northeast facing slopes.

We have the following danger patterns: dp.10: springtime scenario, dp.1: deep persistent weak layer.

The tendency for Thursday 26 February 2026 indicates a steady avalanche danger.

Have a nice day and don't forget to be careful!
