Especially in the aspects West to North to East. Furthermore, all day, above 2400 meter, we have a persistent weak layer problem. Especially in the aspects West to North to East.

Avalanches can reach medium size. The avalanche prone locations are to be found on steep west, north and east facing slopes above approximately 2200 m. Such avalanche prone locations are clearly recognisable to the trained eye. Caution is to be exercised in particular adjacent to ridgelines. The number and size of avalanche prone locations will increase with altitude. Whumpfing sounds and the formation of shooting cracks when stepping on the snowpack serve as an alarm indicating the danger. Weak layers in the old snowpack can be released in isolated cases by individual winter sport participants. The avalanche prone locations are to be found on west, north and east facing slopes above approximately 2400 m. Such avalanche prone locations are rare but are barely recognisable, even to the trained eye. Avalanches can reach medium size. Meticulous route selection is recommended.
