Danger description

The fresh and somewhat older wind slabs are mostly small but in some cases prone to triggering. They are clearly recognisable to the trained eye.
The wind slabs are to be evaluated with care and prudence in very steep terrain. Apart from the danger of being buried, restraint should be exercised in particular in view of the danger of avalanches sweeping people along and giving rise to falls.
