Danger description

As a consequence of a strengthening southerly foehn wind, avalanche prone wind slabs will form. These can be released easily in particular on steep north facing slopes. Mostly avalanches are medium-sized. Backcountry touring calls for experience in the assessment of avalanche danger and caution. The wind slabs are to be avoided.

Wet avalanches as day progresses

As a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation moist snow slides and avalanches are possible.
