<caaml:comment>The early part of the night will be mild and dry. Towards dawn a cold front will bring in a late-winter weather phase with sharply dropping temperatures and precipitation. Avalanche danger will increase on Monday as a result of fresh snow and wind.

<caaml:snowpackStructureHighlights>Snow cover / General info</caaml:snowpackStructureHighlights>
<caaml:snowpackStructureComment>The night was mild, mostly overcast. Outgoing radiation and consolidation of the snowpack upper layers was thus reduced. Intermittent strong S/SW winds transported the snow, generated fresh snowdrifts. On high altitude shady slopes in particular, fresh drifts were often deposited atop soft, powdery layers, sometimes riddled with graupel or surface hoar. Bonding inside the uppermost layers of the snowpack is moderate-to-weak. Due to wind impact, hard melt-freeze encrusted surfaces are often windblown. On steep grassy slopes and hillsides the moist fresh snow of recent days can glide away.</caaml:snowpackStructureComment>
<caaml:travelAdvisoryHighlights>Avalanche danger assessment</caaml:travelAdvisoryHighlights>
<caaml:travelAdvisoryComment>Avalanche danger is predominantly moderate. Main danger for winter sports enthusiasts: fresh and older snowdrifts. Danger zones for dry-snow avalanches increase in number with ascending altitude, are found especially in wind-loaded steep terrain and in freshly wind-loaded gullies and bowls. Today they will increase due to rising wind impact. Small-to-medium slab and also loose-snow avalanches can be triggered mostly be large additional loading. In high alpine regions the situation is more critical. Naturally triggered wet-snow avalanches are possible due to solar radiation and rising temperatures (particularly on sunny slopes but also shady slopes up to intermediate altitudes) and lack of outgoing radiation at night. On steep grassy slopes, especially where recent snowfall has been heaviest, small glide-snow avalanches are possible. Caution is urged near glide cracks.</caaml:travelAdvisoryComment>
