Danger description

The new snow and wind slabs are lying on the quite favourable surface of an old snowpack. The fresh wind slabs are in some cases prone to triggering. They are to be evaluated with care and prudence in steep terrain. In high Alpine regions the avalanche prone locations are more prevalent and the danger is slightly greater. Avalanches can reach medium size. Backcountry touring calls for careful route selection.
