Dry avalanches: No distinct avalanche problem
Avalanche prone locations
In all aspects above approximately 2200m.
Danger description
Dry avalanches can in isolated cases be released in near-surface layers and reach medium size. These avalanche prone locations are difficult to recognise. Very steep slopes are to be traversed by snow sport participants one at a time.
The new snow will be deposited on the unfavourable surface of an old snowpack in particular on shady slopes. Small loose snow avalanches are to be expected. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls.
Additional danger: Wet avalanches as day progresses
