In some regions some new snow. Wet avalanches are the main danger

Snowpack
The snowpack is thoroughly moist on south facing slopes below approximately 3000 m, on east and west facing slopes below approximately 2800 m, and on north facing slopes below approximately 2400 m.
Tuesday night will be cloudy in many places, and a little precipitation will fall in some regions. Here, a strong snow surface will seldom form. Daytime warming will quickly reduce the stability of the snowpack in the morning, and the danger of both wet snow and gliding avalanches will increase.
In the last few days, only isolated wet snow and gliding avalanches have been reported. In the regions with a lot of snow, gliding avalanches can reach a large size.

Thursday
It will be very cloudy and precipitation will fall over a wide area, sometimes heavily on the southern flank of the Alps. During the day the snowfall level will drop from approximately 2200 m to 1600 m. In the extreme west of Lower Valais and on the main Alpine ridge from the Great St Bernhard Pass into the Bernina region, 20 to 40 cm of snow could fall. The wind will be moderate to strong from the southwest.
The danger of dry avalanches will increase, in particular in the regions where the precipitation has been heavy. The danger of both wet snow and gliding avalanches will not change significantly.
Friday
In the west and north there will be variable cloud with occasional sunny intervals in the morning. Showers are increasingly likely in the afternoon. The south will be cloudy all day and precipitation will fall; above 2200 m it will fall as snow.
The danger of dry avalanches will increase a little in the south, but not change significantly elsewhere. The danger of both wet snow and gliding avalanches will not change significantly.
