Wet avalanches

More frequent wet avalanches are to be expected below approximately 2400 m. These can release the entire snowpack and reach large size, especially on steep north facing slopes.
Exposed parts of transportation routes can be endangered occasionally.
On steep grassy slopes gliding avalanches are possible below approximately 2600 m. They can in isolated cases reach large size, in particular in the regions with a lot of snow.

Dry avalanches: no distinct avalanche problem

At elevated altitudes small wind slabs will form. Individual avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular in extremely steep terrain.
Additionally in isolated cases avalanches can be released in near-surface layers of the snowpack, in particular on steep north facing slopes above approximately 2400 m. Backcountry touring calls for careful route selection.
