During the course of the day, winds will shift to southwesterly and the snowfall level in northern regions ascend to approximately 1000 m. South of the Main Alpine Ridge it will be predominantly sunny as a result of the northerly winds slackening off. On Wednesday morning in the northern regions it will be partly sunny, and quite sunny in the inneralpine regions and the south. During the course of the day, cloud cover will move in from the northwest and in the Jura region and the western sector of the northern flank of the Alps light precipitation is expected to set in. The snowfall level will lie at 1200 m. \n The danger of dry-snow avalanches could increase somewhat from region to region on Tuesday. Naturally triggered avalanches are possible. On Wednesday, avalanche danger levels will decrease somewhat."

In some places new snow and wind slabs are lying on the soft surface of an old snowpack. Avalanches can in some cases be released easily, but they will be small in most cases. Apart from the danger of being buried, restraint should be exercised as well in view of the danger of avalanches sweeping people along and giving rise to falls."
