In particular in northwest to north to northeast facing aspects above approximately 2400m.

Danger description

In some places dry avalanches can be released in near-surface layers. The avalanche prone locations are rather rare but are difficult to recognise. Apart from the danger of being buried, restraint should be exercised as well in view of the danger of avalanches sweeping people along and giving rise to falls.

Additional danger: Wet avalanches as day progresses
