Danger description

The fresh and older wind slabs are in some cases prone to triggering, in particular at elevated altitudes. Avalanches can in some cases be released by people and reach medium size. The wind slabs are to be evaluated with care and prudence. Backcountry touring calls for careful route selection.

Wet avalanches as day progresses

As a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation wet small and medium sized avalanches are possible. Caution is to be exercised in particular on very steep sunny slopes.
