In particular in west to north to southeast facing aspects above approximately 2400m.

Danger description

The new snow and wind slabs are prone to triggering at elevated altitudes. Avalanches can be released by a single winter sport participant and reach large size in isolated cases. Backcountry touring calls for experience in the assessment of avalanche danger and careful route selection.

Wet avalanches as day progresses

Medium-sized and, in isolated cases, large wet avalanches are to be expected. This applies in particular on north facing slopes below approximately 2400 m, as well as on east, south and west facing slopes below approximately 2800 m. Backcountry tours and off-piste skiing should be concluded timely.
