In particular in southwest to north to east facing aspects above approximately 2600m.

Danger description

The fresh snow and the wind slabs that are forming adjacent to ridgelines are in some cases prone to triggering. Winter sport participants can release avalanches in some places. Mostly these are small. At elevated altitudes the avalanche prone locations will become more prevalent.
Fresh wind slabs are to be evaluated with care and prudence in steep terrain. Apart from the danger of being buried, restraint should be exercised as well in view of the danger of avalanches sweeping people along and giving rise to falls.

Wet avalanches

The surface of the snowpack will cool hardly at all during the overcast night. Individual wet avalanches are possible. This applies especially on very steep north facing slopes between approximately 2000 and 2600 m.

Remarks

The Avalanche Warning Service currently has only a small amount of information that has been collected in the field, so that the avalanche danger should be investigated especially thoroughly in the relevant locality.
