<highlights>Wind slabs are to be evaluated with care and prudence.</highlights>
<avActivityHighlights>Wind slabs are to be evaluated with care and prudence. As a consequence of the new snow a large number of medium-sized to large natural avalanches are possible above approximately 1500 m.</avActivityHighlights>
<avActivityComment>Over a wide area 50 cm of snow, and up to 70 cm in some localities, has fallen above approximately 2000 m. As a consequence of new snow and a strong northeasterly wind, sometimes avalanche prone wind slabs formed during the night in all aspects. The new snow and wind slabs can be released easily, even by a single winter sport participant, above approximately 1400 m. In particular above approximately 1400 m many medium-sized and, in isolated cases, large dry loose snow avalanches are to be expected as a consequence of the new snow. Temporary safety measures may be necessary in some localities.</avActivityComment>
<snowpackStructureComment>The wind slabs represent the main danger. New snow requires caution. Field observations confirm the complex avalanche situation on all slopes.</snowpackStructureComment>
