Mostly favourable conditions. Careful route selection, especially on steep slopes of indicated aspects and altitude zones.

Triggering is generally possible only from high additional loads** in isolated areas of very steep, extreme terrain*. Only small and medium natural avalanches are possible.
* The avalanche-prone locations are described in greater detail in the avalanche bulletin (altitude, slope aspect, type of terrain).
• moderately steep terrain: slopes shallower than about 30 degrees
• steep slopes: slopes steeper than about 30 degrees
• very steep, extreme terrain: particularly adverse terrain related to slope angle (more than about 40 degrees), terrain profile, proximity to ridge, smoothness of underlying ground surface
** Additional loads:
• low: individual skier / snowboarder, riding softly, not falling; snowshoer; group with good spacing (minimum 10m) keeping distances
• high: two or more skiers / snowboarders etc. without good spacing (or without intervals); snowmachine; explosives

DANGER DESCRIPTION
Above and at the treeline, mainly behind the slope changes along Eastern and Southern slopes, medium-sized unstable wind slabs are recorded. Also, inside the snowpack above 2300m, there are old medium-sized unstable slabs, which, along the slopes from North-West to North-East passing through north, stand on persistent weak layers. Avalanches are easy to trigger already by the loading of a single person. Hitting stones is still likely either by skiing or if caught in an avalanche.
TRAVEL AND TERRAIN ADVICE
The wind slabs are recorded behind slope changes, are easy to spot and should be avoided. Pay much attention to open slopes, at the entrance of bowls, gullies and couloirs. Shooting cracks, Whumpfing sounds and recent release are clear danger signs.
SNOW COVER CHARACTERISTICS
Above and at the treeline, on the most wind-sheltered areas, 5-15 cm of new snow will be recorded. On the remaining areas the snow surface is wind-affected. Mainly on Northern and Eastern slopes, the layer on which stands the surface slabs is weak; on the downwind slopes there are wind snow-drift accumulations. The snowpack, in the sunny slopes, is wet at the bottom. Below the treeline, on the snow-surface there is a thin new snow layer and on Northern slopes the snowpack base is a melt-freeze crusts.
