Mostly favourable conditions. Careful route selection, especially on steep slopes of indicated aspects and altitude zones.

The snowpack is only moderately well bonded on some steep slopes*; otherwise well bonded in general.

Triggering is possible, primarily from high additional loads**, particularly on the indicated steep slopes*. Very large natural avalanches are unlikely

AVALANCHE TRIGGERING PROBABILITY
Triggering is generally possible only from high additional loads** in isolated areas of very steep, extreme terrain*. Only small and medium natural avalanches are possible.
* The avalanche-prone locations are described in greater detail in the avalanche bulletin (altitude, slope aspect, type of terrain).
• moderately steep terrain: slopes shallower than about 30 degrees
• steep slopes: slopes steeper than about 30 degrees
• very steep, extreme terrain: particularly adverse terrain related to slope angle (more than about 40 degrees), terrain profile, proximity to ridge, smoothness of underlying ground surface
** Additional loads:
• low: individual skier / snowboarder, riding softly, not falling; snowshoer; group with good spacing (minimum 10m) keeping distances
• high: two or more skiers / snowboarders etc. without good spacing (or without intervals); snowmachine; explosives
natural: without human influence

DANGER DESCRIPTION
Above 2300m, in all aspects, the new snow and wind accumulations that will form during the day are unstable. Avalanches are easy to trigger already by the loading of a single person and can reach medium size. New soft slabs, on shady slopes, stand on a thin weak layer that will trigger avalanches deeper in the snowpack. Hitting stones is still likely either by skiing or if caught in an avalanche.
TRAVEL AND TERRAIN ADVICE
The new soft slabs are difficult to detect and, on windward slopes, the snow drift accumulation should be avoided. Pay attention on open slopes, gully and bowl entrance. Whumpfing sounds are clear danger sign.
SNOW COVER CHARACTERISTICS
At all elevations, 10 to 35 cm of new snow will be present on the surface; on the windward slopes there will be wind snow accumulations. Above 2400m, on shady slopes, the new snow will stand on dry loose snow that is not well consolidated with the snowpack below. Below 2400m the new snow stand on a melt-freeze crust. Above and at the treeline, along Northern slopes, the base on which the superficial slabs and the old melt-freeze crust stand is weak; on the other slopes a load-bearing crust is recorded.
