Mostly favourable conditions. Careful route selection, especially on steep slopes of indicated aspects and altitude zones.

The snowpack is only moderately well bonded on some steep slopes*; otherwise well bonded in general.

Triggering is possible, primarily from high additional loads**, particularly on the indicated steep slopes*. Very large natural avalanches are unlikely

AVALANCHE TRIGGERING PROBABILITY
Triggering is generally possible only from high additional loads** in isolated areas of very steep, extreme terrain*. Only small and medium natural avalanches are possible.
* The avalanche-prone locations are described in greater detail in the avalanche bulletin (altitude, slope aspect, type of terrain).
• moderately steep terrain: slopes shallower than about 30 degrees
• steep slopes: slopes steeper than about 30 degrees
• very steep, extreme terrain: particularly adverse terrain related to slope angle (more than about 40 degrees), terrain profile, proximity to ridge, smoothness of underlying ground surface
** Additional loads:
• low: individual skier / snowboarder, riding softly, not falling; snowshoer; group with good spacing (minimum 10m) keeping distances
• high: two or more skiers / snowboarders etc. without good spacing (or without intervals); snowmachine; explosives
natural: without human influence

DANGER DESCRIPTION
Below 2700m, overnight cloudiness and rain will lead to wet snow instability for both triggered and spontaneous avalanches. Along northern slopes and on the downwind slopes the avalanches can reach medium size. Above 2600m, along shaded slopes, surface slabs and old wind slabs stand on persistent weak layers, and it is possible to trigger avalanches in the deeper layers. It’s still possible to hit stones both skiing or if caught in avalanches.
TRAVEL AND TERRAIN ADVICE
The wet snow on the surface is a clear warning sign; avoid passage along or below sunny slopes and be in safety areas early. Above 2600 m the danger due to persistent weak layer is difficult to spot. Pay particular attention on North-facing slopes; ski the slopes one by one. Pay attention on slope change, transitions from thin to thick snowpack and at bowls and culoirs entrance.
SNOW COVER CHARACTERISTICS
Above 2700m, 5-15 cm of new snow is recorded on the surface, and in all the aspects in the downwind area there are wind accumulations on top of old hard or soft slabs. Along northern slopes above 2600m the base of the snowpack is weak. Below 2700m the snowpack will be wet. Along windward or sunny slopes the snowpack is poor. Below 2500m the snowpack is poor and recorded only along the northern slopes.
