These are to be found adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. Mostly the avalanches are medium-sized. The wind slabs are covered with new snow and therefore difficult to recognise. <br/> <br/> Weak layers exist in the snowpack on shady slopes. Weak layers in the old snowpack can be released in some places by individual winter sport participants especially here. Especially transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack are unfavourable. Avalanches can in very isolated cases be triggered in the old snowpack and reach quite a large size. <br/> <br/> As a consequence of warming during the day and the solar radiation, the likelihood of moist avalanches being released will increase a little on very steep sunny slopes.",
