In particular on steep slopes avalanches can be triggered in the various wind slab layers and reach medium size. Weak layers in the upper part of the snowpack are difficult to recognise. As a consequence of warming during the day individual medium-sized and, in isolated cases, large wet avalanches are possible as the day progresses below approximately 1800 m."
