As a consequence of low temperatures, snowfall and the strong wind, the snow drift accumulations will increase in size. Adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls dry slab avalanches are possible, even quite large ones. Avalanches can be released, even by a single winter sport participant or triggered naturally, caution is to be exercised in particular on wind-loaded slopes, and at transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack, when entering gullies and bowls for example. <br/> <br/> Weak layers exist in the snowpack on east, north and west facing slopes. Weak layers in the old snowpack can be released in some places by individual winter sport participants especially here. Avalanches can in isolated cases be triggered in the old snowpack and reach quite a large size. <br/> <br/> In addition there is a danger of loose snow avalanches. <br/> <br/> There is a danger of falling on the hard crust. Backcountry touring calls for caution and restraint."
