Strong Westerly winds overnight, backing and easing to become fresh Southerly.\nObserved Weather Influences: Early evening snowfall eventually turned to rain below approximately 1000 metres as the freezing level rose to around 1100 metres. With the freezing level rapidly lowering after midnight, there were isolated light snow showers above 600 metres through the rest of the period. The freezing level at midday was around 600 metres.\nObservedSnowStability: There was a period of snowpack instabilities during the night on North-West to North aspects above 950 metres. Unstable accumulations of windslab continue to build on North-East to South-East aspects above 950 metres. Localised windslab has developed on steep banks below. The greatest instability is around coire rims, ridge flanks steep rollovers and gully exits. Elsewhere the snowpack is covered by a thin crust. Recently formed cornices are fragile. The avalanche hazard is Considerable."
