Gliding avalanches can occur on a few steep slopes with a smooth surface, such as meadow slopes or rock slabs. In addition, wet loose snow or slab avalanches can release themselves on extremely steep terrain or be triggered by individuals on very steep terrain. The avalanches reach medium size."

Otherwise, the old snowpack is heavily soaked to wet right up to the high altitudes and consists mainly of snowmelt. There is hardly any snow on the north side below 1600 metres and on the entire south side."
