In particular transitions into gullies and bowls where surface hoar has been covered with snow are especially critical.

Snowpack
dp.2: gliding snow dp.8: surface hoar blanketed with snow
As a consequence of mild temperatures and rain up to high altitudes an unfavourable avalanche situation developed during the last two days. The snowpack is fairly homogeneous and its surface has a melt-freeze crust. Towards its base, the snowpack is moist. The snowpack is faceted and weak and has faceted crystals on the surface. On cut and grassy slopes numerous mostly small avalanches occurred naturally. Gliding avalanches can be released at any time of day or night. These weather conditions will prevent a substantial change towards better conditions.

The conditions are critical.
In all regions and in the other regions a mostly overcast night. The danger of wet snow slides and avalanches will increase. The no longer entirely fresh wind slabs are to be evaluated with care and prudence.
Snowpack
dp.10: springtime scenario
Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be severely restricted over a wide area. The surface of the snowpack will freeze very little and will already soften in the late morning.
